James Johnson
Board President

James D. Johnson is a native of Metcalfe, MS. He is a graduate of O’Bannon High School. Mr. Johnson attended Tougaloo College where he obtained a degree in English. He is also obtained a masters degree in secondary education and an educational specialist degree in educational leadership from Delta State University. Currently, he is completing his doctoral studies in educational leadership and policy at the university of Mississippi.
A former high school English teacher, Mr. Johnson now serves as principal at O’Bannon Elementary School where he has received many commendations and honors for his commitment to advancing education in the Delta.
Mr. Johnson is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Erica Draine

Erica Draine serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors with CH-PIER. She currently is the Project Coordinator of the Campus Violence Prevention and Intervention Program dealing with Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence and Stalking at Mississippi Valley State University. She has over 29 years’ experience working with youth and community organizations in different capacities in the non-profit sector with organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, AmeriCorps, Upward Bound/Talent Search and Communities In Schools.

Dalton currently serves as the board treasurer for CH-PIER. Outside of the organization, Dalton works as a high school educator and is from Greenville, MS. Some of his favorite hobbies include politics, cooking, traveling, reading and he enjoys plants. He also likes helping others.

Rosie Wright currently works as Office Manager/Administrative IV at Mississippi Department of Human Services, Division of Child Protection Services. Has been employed with the State of Mississippi for 32 years. Currently serves as Election Commissioner of Washington County, District 3. Rosie also serve son the Board of CH-PIER.
